The Challenge
The apartment had decent floor area but felt dark and boxed-in for most of the day — thick partition walls blocked the two large windows from reaching the living and kitchen areas.
Our Approach
We removed non-structural partitions to let light travel through the home, added a cove-lit false ceiling to bounce light softly across the living room, and used a pale, reflective material palette throughout.
The Result
A home that now stays naturally bright from morning to evening, cutting daytime artificial lighting use significantly — the family's neighbours have asked for the same treatment in their own homes.
